PROJECT BRIEF
To design a repeating pattern that can be applied to wrapping paper for a baby shower occasion. The main image used for the pattern must be hand drawn and painted to create a more engaging design. The hand drawn images must be digitally refined into a seamless pattern suitable for print production.
RESPONSE
The final wrapping paper design utalises a soft, pastel colour palette and watercolour techniques in order to feel warm, personal, and handcrafted. The soft, playful imagery of bunnies, butterflies and flowers capture a sense of innocence and celebration.
DEVELOPMENT
The hand-painted watercolour texture give the pattern a depth, while the clean digital repetition of the pattern ensures an aesthetically professional product.
The final outcome achieves a balance between playfulness and sophistication, making it suitable for the joyful and sentimental occasion of a baby shower.
